Is there a thread for us 205 sport owners? If so, I have missed it. I really like all the threads with the specific models, so much to learn. Also I finally figured out how to upload an avitar and signature pic. Still trying to get pics of our boat on photobucket to upload. :smt021

I guess everyone is out at the lake this weekend. Just wanted to see what you guys have done to your boats, props, speakers, problems, or any mods you have done.

I just picked up a 205 sport a month ago. I had them install depth finder, wakeboard tower, 2 tower speakers, amp and bazooka bass tube.

The amp is mounted under the passenger side, up by the cooler. The bass tube is mounted up under the driver dash.

I also had them add a 2nd battery and switch.

I will try and get some pics up! Good to see a 205 thread!!!!

Just what I was looking for, I knew there was more of us 205 owners around here :smt038 Nice pics too, glad you showed the back, I was trying to get ideas where to put the name on ours. Where did you get your lettering from?

Im also adding tower speakers and another amp and battery with switch. Already purchased it all, just have to get time off to install it. I went with Wetsounds Pro 80's and an alpine amp.

Would like to see a pic of the depthfinder, I have one but havent installed that yet either. Did they install it in the hull or outside? Did you reprop your boat or using the stock aluminum?

When I get off work in a week I'll post some pics of mine as well, would like to see more of yours.

Ill play...good to see some other 205's.
'08 205, 5.0 mpi, sirius satellite and upgraded stereo with subs, Monster tower MT2 with racks and bimini, drop in magnetic ski tow, carpet, depth finder etc....pretty much every option.

Very nice pics Bill, did you have the tower installed later? What prop are you running right now? I like that color, same color that I wanted but I got outvoted by my wife and we got yellow.

Hey Ken,

THanks! I installed the tower almost 2 months ago, and it has worked great so far. The prop I have is 19p ss vengeance. I am not sure the diameter:huh:

I was actually outvoted the other way lol...I wanted the yellow, and the wife and 3 kids wanted blue.

Where are your pics!!!?? Come on ya started the thread:grin:

Thats funny about the colors
I bought a 14 X 19 Vengeance for mine and will put it on when I get in.

I dont have pics yet because Im stuck on a job until July 7th. But we are going out the weekend I get home and I'll get some up then.

The 14 sounds about right I think for what I have. Awesome hole shot for wakeboarding, still very good top end.

Cant wait to see the pics...my bud Matt (slacker on this site) has a yellow 205 that is nice...maybe he'll pop some pics on one day.

I got the letters from Cpt. John...I believe they are 4" and fit perfect....got lucky!

Have not upgraded the prop yet, but that is on my list.

I have attached some pics of the tower, and I believe you can see the depth finder...

Get the stereo remote control that is mounted on the captains side, to the left of the steering wheel. SO worth it!!

Nice pics, couldnt see the depthfinder though
Where is this Capt John, do they have an online addy?

I like the way you did the speakers, I was thinking of doing that as well so it didnt interfere with the bimini top, I assume thats why you did it as well?

Yeah, I always keep the bimini up, so that seemed like the best location.

Here is the website for the lettering...took about 10 days to get. w.capnjohns.com/

If you need lettering, let me know. My company designs and produces vinyl graphics in our graphic department.

Here is my boat lettering I did at work.

Let me know...

On your boat, same as mine, where I put it is about the only reasonable space that will aloow you to have one name in full.

I just cut lettering for Slacker (06 205 sport...lives in my town, he is on here once in a while) that Ill be going over for a few beers (supplied by him) and applying today. Ill take a pic.

I'll be sure and let you know. Ive been getting ideas from other websites in the meantime. What size letters did you go with for the name and for the hailport?

Did they install your transducer for your depthfinder inside or outside? The setup I have is for outside, and I cant really find a good place inside for it. Ive mounted them both ways in the past with success and would rather go inside, just finding a place for it is my problem.

Ill need to measure them... believe almost 4" for name, 2.5 for hail port.

My transducer is mounted under in back port side.

O wow a 205 thread... sweet! I have a yellow 06 leftover that I bought in 07. Didn't have many options, but the depth finder was one of the key ones it came with. I plan to have more speakers installed in the front and I'm debating on the amp/sub. Alot of draw on the battery and I always run my Ipod with the boat off. Definitely recommend getting the Ipod cabled for the stereo. And I also I plan to purchase the same tower Bill has on his boat (Monster MT2). Came out really sweet and defintely worth the money, but the bimini didn't fit unfortunately. O and the letters he made up for me came out awesome. Originally they were half blue half yellow and you couldn't see the second part from 10 feet back. He has since redid them in an overlay type design so its blue with a yellow backround and it looks great and you can actually see it now! Hmmm think thats about it for now. Enjoy the book I just wrote.

Boat name: Total Slacker

My wife didn't like the name "Party Boy" to much.

PS> Jake did that chick come with your boat? How much was that option? I bet that was an expensive option. I can use one for my boat though.

Yo Matt...water was awesome today...na na na na na na

And a BOATLOAD of girls on a sundeck who Al and I conveniently "drifted toward before the anchor caught" no matter how hard we tried.

Finish that frikkin deck.
