You go no mater what. Three great days talking about life school plans after school his future his thoughts on life politics Girls and just having cold ones and being guys.

He was my shadow for many many years and now is his own man. I couldn’t ask for a better son i’m very lucky to have him.

Nope. It was just my son and I.
He’s an only child we actually talked about that too.
In do have three great step kids however my son is very independent and has a very busy life so don’t get the chance to just have one on one with him much we probably talked more on this trip than we have in A couple years and talk as Adults and some pretty deep stuff. He asked questions and I answered I asked questions and he answered.
He is usually off to a third world country each summer doing Humanitarian work since he was 14. So it has been nice to have him home this summer.

lake Powell runs deep in his soul. You can’t see it but he actually has a tattoo on his forearm of Lake Powell. He actually took his first steps there.

Man that’s awesome! Some of my most memorable moments were just hanging with my dad having cold ones. God willing one day I will be able to do that with my sons. Enjoy.

My son is 42 and we've gotten along well for many years. Even back in his early 20's he would come to me for advice. He and his wife recently moved to TX. I miss him like crazy but we do talk on the phone more often now.

They had a home built on 2 acres in a new subdivision and he's been working like crazy getting the brush cleared. It keeps him busy in that HOT, HUMID TX weather. He had a little bit of heat exhaustion last week but was smart enough to take it easy, cool down and relax.

I wish he was here.

Now get him to show you how to crop pics so they don’t go sideways :)
Kids are the best.... I don’t know what I would do without my son...he is the oldest and then we have three daughters. They are all a blast... except for the daughters between 15 and 21yrs old

So cool. My oldest daughter leaves for college in 23 days. We have 1 more weekend planned before she leaves. I promise, it's just a little dirt in my eye or something. :(

Thank you for sharing your special moments with us. This is truly a time when you realize just how amazing of a kid he was and now what an amazing young man chatting it up about his future. This is truly special. We have 2 sons and one that would be the very same age passed 4 years ago this month unexpectedly. Enjoy your boy at every moment and good for you for being a great dad!
So sorry for your loss

Understanding how tough that is, we will keep you in our prayers.

Life is often too short, love them while you can.

Thank you and sorry for the loss of your son. I am sure there isn't a day that goes by that you miss having him around.

Yep I had some of that dirt in my eye talking about some of the tough questions he had asked and also some good dirt in my eye talking about how proud I am of him.

Enjoy your weekend with her.

A friend once to told me back in the day that having teenage daughters caused him to almost give up sex.

After having a boat for 12 years... my daughter just decided that she liked boating and has been at the marina virtually every weekend this year. We have taken several long trips and just hung out together (and with my grandson)... it's been fun!

Ya ..... wouldn’t do that again on purpose.... they are evil at that age
My triplet daughters are going to be 26 this year and when they turned thirteen is when I started to travel to Asia for work for 2 weeks at a time. The 18+ hours in the air was the only time no one could call, text or complain! All kidding aside they were good kids and it was still tough for a couple of those teenage years but they've always loved boating and fishing and we still spend plenty of quality time on the boat.

Ha! We had two boys and they are different for sure. Once they get to be in their 20s things smooth out. We were on a first name basis with the owner of the local body shop. Seems like one couldn't help running into friends from high school. Both turned out ok but it was touch and go for a while. One is CEO of a large publc software company and the other is self employed in Silicon Valley developing software.
