So I've been working on my stereo upgrade, which includes a Fusion radio networked to my Axiom's. All is great there...but we have a problem. I wasn't expecting the hole from the old Clarion wire remote to be so big!! So I have a 3" hole in my helm area that I don't know what to do with. I did buy one of the Fusion wireless remotes to put in the Clarion's old remote spot, just to use when I didn't have the Axiom's powered up. But it's about 2.5" in diameter...any ideas? What have you guys done in the past? Thanks!

On my Sundeck I mounted the wired Fusion remote there. That doesn’t seem necessary in your case though with the Axiom.

Which one? From what I can tell the wired remote is only 2.75” tall. It’s 4” wide which will cover the hole. But I’m worried that it isn’t tall enough to cover a 3” hole.

How about a cupholder insert?

I used the NRX 300, I'm assuming we both had the old school, oval shaped Clarion remote?
Covered it perfectly. I'll try to find a pic and attach in another post.

Buy some dash panel material off Amazon, and cut a panel to cover the entire area in question, then mount your remote.

No mine was the 3” round remote.

I’m debating on that with some black acrylic or have Tecnografic make me a custom panel that matches my current helm panels I had them redo.

I had the same problem except I was not going to use the hole so I used some carbon vinyl wrap material that I used for my two other panels and covered the hole. The Clarion remote was mounted directly under the Fire Boy panel.

Looks good! Surprised the hole didn’t imprint on the vinyl.

That won’t work for me due to the location of hole and I can’t just wrap that area without it looking goofy.
