Looking for suggestions on covers for my 1995 195 Sport. The one I have is deteriorating. Unfortunately, when I purchased the boat last year, the snap cover wasn’t included, but the snaps are still on the hull.
The dilemma I have with the current generic cover is that it doesn’t fit tight since the boat has an Origin Wake tower, and the edges of the cover get hung up on the 4 support posts.

I am looking for something mainly to throw over the boat during outdoor storage and mooring. Doesn’t Necessarily have to be trailerable.

I know there are endless options for covers, but wondering if anyone shares the same issue as I do with the wake tower! Any suggestions ? Here’s a picture of the boat. Thanks !

Have a snap on, one piece custom cover made by a canvas shop.

Expect $800 to $1000 for Sunbrella fabric, sewn with teflon thread, by a reputable shop.

Gotcha. If anyone has some reputable places In the northeast (VT/NH), I’d love to hear it.
Given that i likely will sell the boat within a couple years, i think I’d need To be convinced to spend that kind of money on a cover

I just purchased a semi custom cover from boat covers direct. They will have one for your boat with tower. One boat buck for Sunbrella fabric, tie downs and support poles. It was the Carver cover. There are two other less expensive fabric choices. I won't know how well it fits until the boat comes out of storage next month. I just took a quick peek at it and it looks to be very well made.

I am preparing to make a final decision on a cover. I am leaning towards a mooring cover from Great Lakes Boat Top (~$600) over a snap canvas from a nearby marina ($1200+). My question is, how many of you have any experience with Great Lakes ? They seem very reputable and well liked. I am mainly looking for a cover to put on the boat when stored and potentially when trailering if it is raining, etc. The boat lives in my driveway and aside from an occasional overnight stay at a transient slip, it does not stay in the water for more than a day. The boat ramp is only about 4 miles from my house.

Anyone have photos of how the Great Lakes mooring cover secures on the boat ? Is it just going to be a big sail on the interstate ?

A mooring cover goes below the rubrail. Are you taking the tower off?

In order to be trailerable, it must fit tightly. This all depends on who makes it.

Great Lakes is good - but make sure you are getting correct product for your needs.

I mentioned the tower when I asked for the quote and based on some photos I saw of the Great Lakes Mooring cover on some ski/wake boats, it looks like the cover wraps around the base of the tower. I am waiting on a response to see if the cover Would in fact be compatible with the tower.

If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch with me. Our company Cove Marine is a distributor for Great Lakes and we run a discount program for the CSR members. If you want you can send me your info on our request form and I can call you.

Yes, there are mooring covers that wrap around a tower. But those are for boats that they made covers for - meaning, they were contracted by a specific boat company. Like the newer Sea Rays, for example. But this was never an option for your boat 25 years ago. If you want a mooring cover to go around the tower, you'll need to look into having it custom made for you - it will need to be someone local that can build it with your boat present.

Got it. I actually had a nice chat with Kevin from Cove Marine yesterday. He was very helpful and I think we determined that the snap cover would be best for my boat given the tower

Good - Kevin is a nice guy. He knows Sea Ray's quite well. You're in good hands!
