Purchased a 1999 Sundancer 340 in Sept ‘19 and while her engines and transmissions had been pulled and completely rebuilt / overhauled, her topside needed (and continues to need) much love. History was she sat unloved for a decade...in the seawater. Hauled out, engines and trannies pulled, new bottom paint, and then listed for sale. I only pulled the trigger due to the mechanical “soundness” of the boat. Cosmetics are a way for me to take pride in refurbishment with relative ease, while not getting in over my head so to speak.
First was a complete cleaning of the galley, salon, and rear berth. What followed in no particular order was a new sound system, Bimini, cockpit cover and carpet kit. I went with the Fusion MS-RA370, NSX-300 remote for the helm, Navy canvas, and marine vinyl. Special shout out to “Be Reel Outdoors” for their expertise and amazing pricing for the Fusion head unit and remote, as well as pricing second to none. Speakers and kickass amp came from “California Car Sounds” who also gave me a smokin’ deal on an Arc Audio XD 1100.5 amp, as well as JL Audio speakers and sub. “Great Lakes Boat Top” supplied the bimini and cockpit cover and wow their quality may be hard to beat! Both in product and customer service... Jim at Corinthian Textiles had his team in line to craft the Marine Grade Vinyl Carpet kit and with a little extra incentive ($$$) I was able to have the new kit in time for Fleet Week SF.
