Installed new Helm wheel. I don't like it . Looks great BUT the actual diameter fake burl wood is too small. ITs uncomfortable to grip for long periods of time. Also the spokes aren't polished on the edges. So that is not comfortable to grab . Im spoke holder ( lol ) and apparently I turn from the spoke too . So I don't recommend this one . Im very sad !
Glad you posted this. It just saved me some money.
While I’m not sure if I’m a spoke holder (don’t think I am) the factory steering wheel is pretty comfortable and I would have been very disappointed if the new one wasn’t.
That wheel was on my winter list of things to do.
Just crossed it off.
Thanks!
Love the original wheel. Whish I could find a new cover for the spoke . That's all that's wrong with it .

I agree , i like this one also.Steve,
I love that steering wheel! I'm looking to replace the one on my 2008 48 DA and was going to purchase one from FP Marine until I saw yours. Did you go through Marine Max? Mind sharing cost?
Thanks.
Andy
I bought it through this site directly. http://www.isotta.com/dett_prod.php?id=69Steve,

For the life of me I can’t remember the cost but I don’t remember it being ridiculous. They were great to work with and they make the wheels for Searay but they won’t sell you the Searay center cap. I bought a stick on emblem from eBay and it looks fairly factory. I get a lot of compliments on it. It was an easy change out. The old one was a little stubborn so I used my impeller puller and it popped right off. Took about 20 minutes total. It looks even better with my new Raymarine AxiomsView attachment 76910
Yes. They only offered one size in this modeldid you get the same wheel size as OEM?
I love the original throttle and gear box setup you have....I have my original, a bit uncomfortable on the throttle side. I wonder how hard they are to swap out? any ideas? I am upgrading the entire helm station from old electronics, dash etc etc...Did the 3 minute install yesterday.
Did you get that steering wheel directly from SeaRay? I’m trying to find the same exact oneThat's one of the first things I did as well. I couldn't stand the look, and my OCD drove me crazy with that T-bar rarely being straight.
