Since we bought our new to us boat in the Ft Lauderdale area we're going to take the opportunity to make a Bahamas run next week.
Looking to leave Lighthouse Point, FL on Sunday and make a short run to Bimini, spend the first night there and then go on to Atlantis and hit Highborne on the way back
Looking forward to it and hopefully we can get a few pictures posted up here either during the trip or upon the return

Y'all are killing me. Our harbor is half empty and most of our dock neighbors are pulling out tomorrow. We are out next Saturday, then its 5 months of waiting and biding our time in a 50 degree warehouse wishing it was spring. If transport wasn't so expensive...

I’m still in the water and will be up later on Sunday. Will be up all next weekend... probably will have the dock to myself. Lol.

Same at shelbyville lake (central Illinois). Almost everyone on my dock/Marina is done. My last weekend is next, then pray for April to get here!

Spend only one night at Atlantis, then go on to Staniel. Work your way North, maybe spend a night on a mooring ball in Exuma Land and Sea Park like Warderick Wells. End with Highborne, then start working your way back...fuel in Nassau, then stay at Chubb. Bimini again the final night, then cross back in the am. Spend as much time as possible in the Exumas, you won’t regret it...one of my favorite cruising grounds.

it was a great run to Staniel and the island was pretty cool. The food at the marina restaurant was terrible but everything else was real nice

great weather for our entry into Atlantis
The marina is fairly empty so we got a slip backing right up to the resort.

All’s Well,

When you get time would you share your route info including as much detail as you could for those of us considering the trip? It would be greatly appreciated by “All” I’m sure!

sure will

And one last one to show running the flats just off Bimini on the way back to Hillsboro Inlet

Great pics. What type of range do you need on your boat to make this trip? A good 200 mile range, with 10-20% to spare, or do you need more? This is on my list, but next boat, or a friends boat, will need the range.
