Local family marina negotiating with Safe Harbor.

They did the same thing to us. I can stream off my iPad to watch shows or movies...you should play around with it... in our case no one around me uses it. If you had a lot of users bandwidth would be a problem. They had installation pains at first but seem to be over it. They also have great customer service over the phone. My camera is attached to it and it streams fine. I wouldn’t pay the premium either
So after using the network for a while now I have found the same thing. I can stream to my smart tv just fine with the basic free service. Probably helps that even though marina is full, there are very few people on and using their boats.

On a separate subject. The prior owners provided a loaner car as one of their services. Safe Harbor does not. So those of you used to returning to Port Royal Landing Marina expecting to use a car, there is no longer a loaner car. And it's officially named Safe Harbor Port Royal now.

Does Beaufort have Uber?

Safe Harbor just bought our marina, Highport Marina on Lake Texoma in Texas. We're already the most expensive marina on the lake and recently had an increase. Even if the go up most of us in our boathouse are stuck because we have 25K to 150K in dock improvements that won't be ready to sell with higher rates.

I just can't get over the pace this company is buying marinas... I just don't get it..they have to be highly leveraged....if there is a down turn they are screwed

Around my marina we should really start calling them "Quiet Harbor" rather than Safe Harbor. After a couple years of rate increases with no notable improvements in property it's rather quiet around the marina. The slip owners stay, like you, but the renters have fled to lower cost, better optioned marinas in the area.

I recall fondly the days of having to put our picnic table in our two parking spots on busy weekends if we left the marina, just to make sure our spots didn't get taken. I guess one upside to Safe Harbor is that we don't ever worry about parking availability these days :)
