We’re finally boating Snowbirds!

Joe,

Gimme Time is on your Starboard side coming down the Chesapeake Bay on the South side of the Rappahanock River, Just off the Bay 1,000yards coming in on Broad Creek, (Norview Marina, Deltaville, VA.).

We plan to head South to KW Friday after Thanksgiving weather dependent. Made the trip several times and we typically run outside when we can. Here’s our 2018 trip South just to give you some general idea as each trip can & usually is a little different as the weather is ALWAYS IN CHARGE.

Some days are longer & some are shorter depending on no schedule for sure. You’ll see we had longer stops in areas where family or friends are along our route.

Shoot me a PM for cell number if you’d like and maybe we can catch ya when you’re coming through if you’d like depending on where we are when you think you’ll be coming through.

Well the last kid is in college (Paris) so he won’t miss us. So it’s our first official snow bird migration.
We’ve done done all we can to get the boat and ourselves ready for the trip
We leave on Friday (tommorrow) for New Jersey to meet up with Larry who we’ll travel with to Morehead City NC. Then out the Beaufort (Bow-Ford) inlet and we’ll be on our own.
We rented a slip in Longboat key from Nov-April we’re really excited and can’t wait to get there the place looks awesome.
We’ll snap some pics /fly the drone on the way and post a little bit as we go
Hope to be settled in time to fly home before my New Grandson is born middle of Nov!
So I sit here on the bridge staring at 30 mph winds wondering “when it’ll let up?”
I’ll
Keep
You posted !!
Safe trip Joe, and of course ENJOY!!

Joe,

I’m curious as it looks like I see something mounted on you’re upper bridge storage compartment door just to the left of your thermostat? What might it be and could you post a better picture of it when you can?

John, it’s a Raymarine Axiom9 I had a second door made and installed it to use only for the new FLIR M232 I installed a few weeks ago.

Safe Travels Joe!!! Hopefully I can add this type of trip to my bucket list... Awesome!

Safe travels Joe. When you get down to Florida and cross the Okeechobee let me know where you are stopping for the night. I’m at Tarpon Point Marina which is in a great location after making the crossing.
