Inverter Installation Question

Inverter is going into my 420AC and will run the refrig and some other minor loads. Gen will run for anything larger like Microwave or AC.
When connecting the ATS to the Inverter, the inverter white and green go to the existing white and green bus bars? Or do they need but separated from the house and gen side?

When installing an inverter it must be considered a power source just like your generator or the marina's utility main disconnect. That means both the "hot" and "common" must be switched. The reason is that the common is tied to ground at the power source.
This is the case if your boat does not have an isolation transformer; if your boat does have an isolation transformer then the configuration is different as the transformer is the power source regardless of where power comes from.

So got it running....inverter ATS is switched for line and common. My boat is a 2000 so don't think it has an isolation transformer.
