310 Sundancer Thread (2007 & newer)

i have replaced factory tv's in all 3 original locations. my 3 tv's were factory installed so all 3 had dvd and 110v outlets for them. if the boat didnt come with factory tv's im not sure if they run 110v outlets for the locations.
the wiring for the foward is in the tall cabinet- it has 2 access covers located inside for access to the 110v outlet/dvd wiring and cable tv if its wired for it. the aft tv is also easy as the cabinet on the port wall has a rear panel inside that is removed with 4 screws, then remove the cabinet door and you have access to all wiring.
Mid tv was the most difficult because you need to remove the electrical panel and door to the cabinet to get access to wiring.

Thanks for the reply. I am hoping there is wiring, if not thats fine too. Appreciate the response, take delivery in a few weeks!

Yes we are on Lanier, but we keep the boat at Port Royale. Coincidentally it's currently at MM at Bald Ridge in hopes they can chase down the cause.

Great to see another local 310 Sundancer on here. We keep ours at the house (we trailer it) but usually put in at Mary Alice Park, adjacent to Bald Ridge. This is our 4th season with the 310 and I think I've nearly gotten all the gremlins worked out, or at least the most annoying ones. Seemingly there's always another boat project...

Hope to see you out on the lake--

2008 310 350 Mag Horizon V drive: no bilge layout in the owners manual (only gas stern drive and diesel.)

Just curious if someone knows of a SeaRay drawing for this configuration. Not much different it seems but general location, etc a bit different. I want to know specific locations for shut offs, seacocks, etc. Thanks.

I have 6.2 mercury horizon v drive with generator but don’t have a drawing.you want to know something specific ?

Just looking for a reference of what’s what and where! We haven’t taken delivery yet, just getting ready. I’m guessing the stern drive drawings are close enough...

Go to the searay website, click on owner resources top left and download the manual for the boat. it has all the drawings you are looking for.

New issue. My cabin "head liner" (if that's what it's called) seems to be separating from the hatch and the skylights - about a half inch to inch. I'm looking to head off a bigger issue down the road. Would anyone have recommendations? I'm thinking some 4200/5200 between the hatch frame and the liner, and the skylights and the liner. Would rather not get involved in removing and resetting whole thing, and not sure how that would be done either. Any suggestions appreciated.

Need some help: My Smartcraft display sea temperature reads 180 degrees. everything else seems to be working (speed and depth) Could the transducer be bad? I don't really want to do a factory reset on it if I don't have to. The model number on the transducer is: 88828A22 with a 20 degree tilt. I will also be calling Mercury tomorrow to hopefully give me some advice. The transducer is connected to the starboard engine

I would not go with anything as permanent as 4200 or 5200 or you will never be able to peel it back again. I would go with some kind of contact adhesive. You can probably get a spray can.

The foam-backed vinyl headliner is affixed to a plywood substrate which is attached to the fiberglass with screws.

Is your issue that the vinyl is separating from the plywood, or has the plywood detached from the fiberglass?
This distinction would dictate the course of action--but both suggest you may have water intrusion in these areas that probably should be addressed first?

Need some help: My Smartcraft display sea temperature reads 180 degrees.

Unfortunately, I can't answer the question, but I can say that mine reads the same. All other functions also work (including depth).

If you end up getting any info from Mercury on how to resolve, there are probably others here that would appreciate hearing what you find out. I certainly would...

i would be interested in the fix as well, i have the original vesselview but have the same readings.

I have an issue of the SmartCraft restarting and port tank "Fuel sender issue". I called support and the answer was do either a sensor scan, which is in setting, however, I could not find it "scan". The other suggestion was a factory reset, which apparently was performed by the MM techs, did not resolve any of the issues.

hope this helps, Please post solution if found. thanks.

Starboard actuator making a loud sounds/noise. If it fails, can i just use the middle actuator to lift for ER access? Expensive to replace?

Thank you. I’ll have to investigate further next time I’m at the boat

Hi all...2008 310DA. Are we a nmea2000 boat or a 183? Still looking for the info in the owners manual.

I’m starting to research upgrades, etc.

Thanks To all.

Thanks for the response!

Found my questions in the 2007 Owners Manual. Seems SR couldn’t bother to put it in the 2008 manual. WTF?

Hi all.

Vacu-flush not working (maybe operator error!)

Manual says turn on water system breaker in cabin (check) and turn on “Waste Sustem” breaker in cabin (check.)

Nothing. Water comes in, no vacuuming. Nada.

The key switch by the head, not required to be “On?”

Any tips would be appreciated!!

Great. Thanks. No manual with the boat, I’ll get one ASAP.

So:

Waste System breaker ON
Water System breaker ON
Key in head to ON.

Sounds simple, even a caveman may be able to do it!
