While I have not seen any ugly boats on CSR, I have seen some on the Lake/River where I live. That said, I am a firm believer in "Beauty is in the eye of the Boat Owner", and in reality there are no ugly boats. Except Pontoons, and house boats, but that's a personal thing.
Do you have pics of Ugly Boats? Is there one in particular you see every time you go out on your boat that just makes you cringe? Is there a certain brand or style that just makes your inner boat guy say ewww...?
So post them up! I'm going to take some pics this weekend, you guys do the same. Let's balance the beautiful with the Ugly. Bring us your tattered, your torn, those ugly paint jobs.

Carver Mariner. To me it looks like Shamu. I will say though, the interior on those are amazing given the size of the boat. Maybe that's the issue... The hull might be designed around the cabin. I pass two on the way out of the marina. Ugh. Pics soon!

There is a red Donzi Sport Deck I see all the time. I get the concept - kind of a monohull pontoon boat. But somehow it it just looks....wrong. From every angle, just wrong.

Yep, I was thinking that one too. The sloping nose is not pretty.

Exactly! Especially the model around 1999. I always said it looked like the head of a white Bull Terrier.
I am not meaning to disparage Bull Terriers. It is a unique good look on a dog, but not a boat.

I’m with you! I find Carvers in general to be less appealing visually than a lot of other brands but they do seem to make the most of interior space.

Hmm....the current Sea Ray Sport Yacht/Sundancer line is anything but appealing to me. That swept full windsheild into the nearly full length hardtop....yuck. Maybe it looks okay on the 520. But that 400/460....no way.

Well I sure feel more secure about my taste. The newer Carver boats are a miss in my book.
I think the current Carver design is a vast improvement over the older design. I'm not sure I like it, but I would not call it ugly. It is visually striking.

I agree, older model carvers do nothing for me. However, the newer style looks slick.

I wish I had taken a picture of a house boat on our lake a few years back. It was named "The Seven Ugly Sisters". The name described it.

I can’t say for sure, but maybe this one is upside down on the trailer?!?!

Even if you flipped it over it would look the same!

Quint has a sweet 330 Carver!!! I stand corrected, his Silverton 330 is very nice!!

we called that design group the "bleach bottle". there were a few others like it of different sizes that had the same oddly placed windows. I guess they were desperate to get out of the cave. those do have some comfy interior features, but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder
