Yes i'd like to know. I had my props re-pitched from 21 and 21.5 to 22 and 22.5 this winter. My WOT was at 4700, so now I should be around 4500, still within range.

I know this is an old thread, but I figured I'd update for peoples info. I'm now at 22 and 22.5 with a large .125 cup. I'm right at 4600 rpm WOT. I would love to see what 23 Acme's would do.

But still the 3 blades?

So your paining 22/22.5p large cup, 4 blades to 4600 on 8.1s ?

And a 99-02 340 hull?

It's a 2004, 8.1's. Yes full fuel and packed with beer and wine. I cruise at 3450 at 28.5 to 29 mph. WOT is right at 4600. This is on my garmin gps and phone. I'm trying to cruise at 30 to 31mph. If I run the rpm to 3600 I can get to 31, but I dont want to run there.

My Amberjack came with factory 4 blade Hi Torque props both of which are 18x21" 1.5" bore which tops out at 4500 RPM with the 8.1's

Cool. Need to get my hands on a set and try them on mine.

These are my props now. I know they are Nibral , but not sure what kind. I'd really like to see what 23.5 pitch ACME can do. At $1800 each I don't know if I'll be finding out too soon.

So I know this is a old post... Curious how anyone made out with the Acme props... I would like to get a pair this winter.... I believe I have stock props now... I'm usually running around 3700 at 30/31 mph depending on tides & currents... My wot is 4600 as I hit it the other day just to see if I will make my WOT.... Love to hear what everyone else is running

3700 is a little more with those motors want to be. Burning some decent fuel at that RPM. 3500 is where you really should run them. I’m running 3450 at 29 mph with these. I couldn’t justify the expense for really no gain. And they are much thinner than the Ones I have now

Those are some nice numbers.... If I run at 3500 I start to fall off plane. Do you happen to have you prop scan sheet, do you know what there pitched at... I have to get mine tuned next season or buy anther set and swap them out...

Yup. Also has a #8 cup added. DQX wheel. Runs 29-30mph at 3450 Rpm ( What's up with the screen dust..LOL )

I've read all of the threads on switching from 3 to 4 blade props on the 330 / 340 size cruisers. Mine is a '02 340 DA with 6.2 V-drives (year before they switched to the new-style, wider beam 340).

I'm just about convinced to make the switch, however I need to know if my current props are cupped or not. How can I tell? The parts manual lists:

17 X 19 X 1.5 R3BLC NIBRAL
17 X 19 X 1.5 L3BLC NIBRAL

So I get that R/L=Right/Left, 3B=three blade. Does the L = light cup? What does the C mean?

The Michigan Wheel folks are recommending 17x18 4 blade DQX with MEDIUM cup assuming my current props have a medium cup because I am currently hitting 5000 RPM with the stock 3 blades.

The Acme sales engineer recommended a 17x16 4 blade with .075" cup, which seems like way too much of pitch change. It seems Acme does not make a 17x18 4 blade with a 1.5" bore.

I have the same year and same boat. 2002 Sundancer with 6.2 engines. Had the same stock props you did. I worked with Allison at Acme and she recommend these to me and a friend with the same boat only a 2005. We both love them.
The perform perfectly. 5000 to 5100 WOT depending on load in boat. Stay on plane down to 3000 rpm with bow down. Jumps out of the water like never before and can haul 10 people with no problem.
Ive attached the picture with part numbers. As you can see its a 17 x 17 with a .105 cup. Best money i spent on boat along with SeaDeck.
