Official 2003.5-2008 340 Sundancer Thread

Hey Guys, my amp / sub stopped performing, the light on the amp comes on when I turn on the roadview receiver in the kitchenette. How do I get it to play with the Clarion receiver like it used to just 2 weeks ago..prob something simple I can’t figure out :/

So I can’t just put a cap on that thing?
That would probably work. I just bought my boat last year and was having all kinds of issues with the generator. It only had 44 hours on it. I was already ordering plenty of other parts so that was just 1 more.

It must have a reason to stay open like that I guess. Looks like I’m ordering one. Thanks so much u prob saved me from flooding the thing with seawater

So the admiral wants me to make a storage cabinet where the access cover is behind the transom door when open. Did SR have an option for that? Or has anyone converted it already? The 320s have a small storage cabinet there.

I think Kevin has one there.

Is this what you are talking about?

If so, it's only big enough to hold one of the throwable USCG Type IV Approved Cushions and that's where I keep mine. Handy location if you every need it.

Let me add my normal spring note regarding life jackets - always keep them where they are handy. You might not want to fill up your easy access usable storage but it could save you life. I keep a set under my seats and a few extra in the transom storage. If there is ever a cabin fire you will not be able to go in to dig out your stored vests that are behind everything.

Hi Kevin -
Yes it is. I was hoping it would be deeper. There is 7 inches of clearance behind that area and was hoping to use it for odds and ends we use in the stern area. Can you send me a pic with the door open? Want to show it to the powers to be to see if she wants it. My guess is too shallow for what she is looking for. Thanks.

Does anyone have the measurements for 2007 340 swim platform. I can’t get to the boat for a few days and I want to fill out the Hurley davit worksheet.

Thanks all.

There should be more depth space however, as you can see from my picture the rod holder is there too and probably will interfere and drain (unless you cap it and run tubes). If you do not have the rod holders then you are ok.

I am not sure how much room would be back there if you just added a door without a finished cabinet back there (that item is listed as #16 1691123 DOOR, HDPE W/17X17 ARW FRM W/PVC BOX).

...Can you send me a pic with the door open?...

I'll snap a picture when I am down at the boat later. BTW, now you have me looking for ways to expand my storage again ;).
