Mid-90's 270 Sundancer Thread

Has anyone connected a fuel consumption sensor up? Wondering if it’s worth it? I could add one to my gps for about $200. I’m thinking3200-3300 is most likely the best fuel economy so may just be a waist of money ?

I did, that is where the numbers I gave you came from.

I am going to put them on my new boat too.

NooB to the group... family just picked up a 98 270 SE 7.4MPI and a bravo3... 577 hours on it. just had the injectors cleaned and pumped the fuel tank, got a few other maintance items to knock out to start fresh... bottom paint... zincs... yadda yadda yadda...

hopefully get some time between the bitter ass cold temps right now and rain to get the boat cleaned up soon!

anyone have any tricks for cleaning the drain lines? i think i have a clogged line in the foot well going down to the cabin

I use a toilet plunger, I try to suck the stuff back up, as opposed to forcing it out, if that makes sense

might need to give that a shot. hopefully its not water down there that has frozen.

guess we really need to get that new cover made LOL

does anyone happen to know where the grounds for the navigation lights and anchor lights are? im having some lighting issues id like to get squared away before she goes in the water in a week or 2

ok so after a broken shift fork and a broken shaft in the outdrive we are now back in the water and running! hopefully we dont need to come out again till the end of the season!

Got mine all ready for the season, I installed a windless, radar arch and radar, just waiting for the marina.

Go to the drain in the hull and back wash it, put as much water pressure as you can and clear it that way. You will be surprised how much gunk will come up.

It typically will not make a big mess because you are forcing the water up against gravity. If previous owners had dogs onboard like our boat, it will be full of dog hair, a tennis balls worth...

No amp on a 270 DA I am aware of, unless added by an owner.
