That is the ST8002 autopilot control head. What is your Smartpilot course computer? S3G or XPS10.. The S3G interfaces with the MFD via Seatalk1 and the XPS10 interfaces with SeatalkNG.

You will need a Seatalk1 to SeatalkNG converter for the S3G (which is probably what you have if original). The down side not all of the capabilities for chartplotting with the Axiom system are not useable with the S3G; read the Raymarine blog and it's links. So both of the smartpilot computers will be compatible the axiom I assume or will it depend on if I have Seatalk1 or NG?
Can anyone identify which model AP I have? If it helps, I also have a handheld remote too. I’m hoping the AP will work with Axiom

Also, would I have/need to change my transducer for the new system? I know it’s tough to answer since I don’t have a model number

If I purchase one preloaded Axiom with Navionics will the second Axiom without Navionics be able to use Navionics too? I'm purchasing 48' Open Array HD and 2 Axioms 12"
My new question is about radar. Whats the difference between the 48" Magnum and 48" RA1048HD? I called Raymarine but they're not open right now.
Thanks swat, I ended up ordering the magnum and two 12” axioms. One with Navionics preloaded.Charts, sonar and radar are shared across both IF you put a network cable between the two which is supplied with the Axiom so zero reason not to. The Axiom has three network ports so should have plenty of ports available.
48" Magnum adds some new features to the "Super HD", mostly with target resolution and tracking. Its still a magnetron radar, not solid state like the Simrad halo and newer Garmin. That has both pluses and minuses.
The Magnum is worth the extra money if you need a new array because your old one is analog. If you already have a digital array I would spend the money on the upgrade.
Got it, thanks TNTI have the same set-up, and it was installed winter 0f '18 and I believe it's just as you described as engine data only but very basic like RPM, temp, etc. I've really only looked at that page briefly a couple of times as when we're cruising I run radar on one, and the chart plotter/rear camera (split screen) on the other. VV is close by on my boat so that's what I use to monitor everything else like, fuel usage, all the engine info at a glance, gear temps, turbo boost, genny info, etc.

Got it, thanks TNT
Did you happen to update your autopilot too? I have the ST7000+ with remote and it works well and I'm having them install a network converter. However I'm reading that I won't have full AP functionality on the axioms.
I've decided to upgrade AP now so I can utilize its full functionality on the Axioms. I believe you have to upgrade the entire system, besides drive, to retain full function of AP on MFDI recently had Raymarine Axiom Touch Hybrid screens installed and now my original Raymarine Auto Pilot does not work. It looks like some of you had the same problem. Did you have to replace the entire AP system or just the AP Head?
