Has anyone had any experience with an extended platform other than swimplatforms.com?

+1 swimplatforms.com my 36DB looked factory great product and great to work with.
Why are you looking at other companies? Did you get a quote from swimplatforms.com?

Question for your proponents of swimplatforms.com - can you share ballpark costs for the platforms you've had made and whether or not they generally installed with existing hardware, existing holes in the hull?

Someday in the future I wouldn't mind considering such a project. I'd love another 12-18" on the back of mine...

The one for my 310 is $3000 plus any options. You have to drill all new holes... I think this one will take 10-15 new holes.

I had a local guy make one for my boat and I'm 110% happy with the results. A big plus for the way he did it was that he did it with the boat in the water. No haulout fees involved.

I had a bid from swimplatforms.com of $3,000 plus shipping.

The guy did mine did it for $2.500 total cost. The only other cost was I had to buy the rub rail.

I had swimplatforms.com do my 97 250 DA, it was sweet but HATED the SS tubing that was used for support, my 2001 280 DA had factory platform with none of those cheap SS tubes underneath

My DA 250 platform from swimplatforms.com had no such tubing. Very clean install. Just a few holes, bolts, caulk. Easy job w/fantastic results. Highly recommend.

The swimplatforms.com that I put on the 270 did not have the SS tube supports, but the 310 version will.

Jim, The one for the 36DB has the poles too, not too crazy about that, that's why I was looking elsewhere. beautiful 310 BTW

My 25DA had 4 tubes, swimplatforms.com, and the one they want to put on my 36DB has those poles as well

That is too bad, my 270 did not have any supports. Now on the 36 DB you may want that support for a dinghy back there, I would anyway. Why do you not want them? I have them on my 3870 platform and feel good they provide extra support, it is rated to hold 900 pounds. Probably would not if not for the supports.

Finally got the new swim platform (contemporary fiberglass) installed and boat launched... ready for the h30 and RIB...View attachment 68216
I would be very cautious with Contemporary Fiberglass. I had a swim platform made by them a few years ago, and the quality was so bad, and they refused to make it right, that I had to sue them in small claims court.
I won the case, and they were pretty bitter, they actually put "fu" on the check memo section.

That is very unprofessional. Wow!

Why is it so small? I have not seen one that narrow before.

Was wondering that myself... swimplatforms.com would have been the width of the factory platform.

You don't even know the half of it Mike.
It was a real pain in the rear time dealing with them.
Things did turn out good though, because I eventually bought from Swimplatforms.com, and the two didn't even compare to each other. That's in the product quality, and customer service area.
