Got to new crate motors to replace the ones in there. Any way looking forward to gleaning as much info from hear as possible. Not real familiar with the boat yet. Thanks

Well Welcome to the Club and Good luck with her.....

Welcome to CSR and congrats on the new boat. You should know that we all like to see pics of people's boats, where they boat and if you're doing any work on her we'd like to see photos of that also.

I will be posting pictures of her and the progress as soon as I can get her home, I’m looking for a large enough trailer I’d like to be able to move myself as it’s a fairly short move and no cities to go through.

Congrats on the new project .... and welcome to CSR
Now start funding the economic resurgence like the rest of us

Welcome to the Club! Can’t wait to see the pictures and I will be following your engine swap.

Hi Go1rstclass!
I am also a new member and have just purchased a 1992 Searay 370 Sedan Bridge...almost completely refurbished..a gem...I am currently bringing it to the next level.
Based in the Channel Islands in California.
I “ will send pictures for proof of life””
One reason I am replying to your post as well is that without a doubt one of my favorite yachts is the 55 and was close to purchasing one though funds were diverted to an engagement ring!!!
Hard to find on the west coast and expensive to ship...
Look forward to perhaps contact through this site and of course the abundance of informatIon I am sure is available..

Dang, I'd have thought that it would be easy to find an engagement ring on the west coast, and cheap to ship if you found one online.

Just kidding, though if you'd let us CSR members vote on whether to spend your $$$ on a boat or a ring, I think your fiancé would be wearing a cigar band and you'd be driving a bigger boat.

Oh well, hindsight has always been 20/20. I hope you keep your soon-to-be wife around a lot longer than most guys keep their boats!:p

Very nice, not sure I’ll get that extravagant with mine, but it will look good for sure. I went to SC over the weekend and got a trailer to hall her home on. Replaced brake parts and new carpet for bunks and my oversized permit and hope to get her home Saturday. Got all the parts the previous owner had removed plus a boat load of extra parts he removed from a donor boat and the new engines home last night. Can’t wait to start

Be sure and get the stringers and transom inspected for rot. It would suck to do a lot of work to the boat only to have the transom fall off. That boat is 42 years old and appears to have been sitting exposed to the weather for some time.

Welcome and congrats! Be sure and post updates as the project proceeds.

Welcome. Definitely interested in seeing the work you do on this project. Should be interesting.

Well I finally got a trailer and got it home and got a chance to crawl around and explore, and all in all it is is pretty good shape for age and and sitting on blocks for 10 years. There are few spots on the deck we’re things had been mounted that will need fixed, of courses all the little panels with the pading and such are toast. The biggest issue I found was platforms were the fuel tanks sit are rotten. Probably happened after the tanks was removed 12 years ago. I can’t tell if somthing had been cut out or what but there was some exposed 2x4 that rotted

Interior is strait up 70’s orange carpet and fuzzy headliner stuff that just crumpled when you touch it. I was surprised how well the cabin held rain water. I can’t find anywhere it would drain to bilge area?
