I have an 08 SDA 310 with an integrated swim platform. I want to attach my pedestal mount to the swim platform but I’m not sure what the platform is really made of. Should I use screws or drill through to the open space below (accessible from engine compartment) and use bolts?

I drilled oversized holes, filled with West Sytems epoxy, and inserted bolts through those into a plywood backing plate that was epoxied to the underside.

I would think you want to bolt through and use a backing plate.

Not a very good picture but mine is thru bolted with a backing plate.

Yes, through bolts. Screws will pull after some wear. If there is coring, then do as JMD said. If there is not seal it with 4200.

Through bolts it is.
Thanks

Pre-drilled and screwed with self tapping screws and 5200. Solid as a rock.

Where is the best place to store the grill on the boat? Trunk is full of bumpers but could make room. I have the magma gas version.
