I have a 1996 Sea Ray 330 Sundancer with a 6.5 Kohler genset when I purchased the boat someone had disconnected all the wires on the genset I found the wiring diagram from Kohler and figured out all the wires except for one which is wire number 35a the wire comes from a deltrol relay in the control box of the generator and I'm told that this relay is a add-on feature from Sea Ray all I'm asking is if anyone knows where on the genset this wire connects to it does come out of the wire loom near the oil pressure switch if that helps. This wire is nowhere located on the Kohler diagram the genset has a 22 pin connector and the Kohler diagram shows pin 17 as being empty and that is the PIN that The Wire in question goes through

We have some pretty knowledgeable folks on this site. I am sure someone will be able to offer your some guidance.

if your on Facebook Join Sea ray classics and other classics. there a member there Dave lowery he is very active he rebuilds the gensets and flips them he knows them inside out.

Without seeing it....if it is a Sea Ray only wire.....it’s purpose is probably linked to the fire suppression system. If the Fire suppression trips....it shutdowns the generator by mimicking a safety (temp, oil pressure etc) trip.

You don’t need it to make the generator run. Any idea why the PO disconnected all the wires?

Not sure if it has to do with the fire suppression someone also told me it may be something to do with a auto changeover option no idea why the previous owner disconnected all the wires except for the generator had a shutdown problem when it got warm which I corrected but I'm assuming he was trying to correct it by disconnecting all the sensors
