Susan has a tough time finding her Blanton's!

A girl after my own heart. Even the next step down is hard to get, Eagle Rare.

Have her try a step down, Eagle Rare, although it too can be tough to get.

Wathens is a good option.

Jefferson Reserve

Angels Envy

Has she tried any of these?

I really like Straight Edge. It is aged in wine bottles in the Napa Valley. I can get it in TN when I am down there on business for around $60.00

Mixing: Evan Williams. Inexpensive, goes with anything.
Sipping: Woodford Reserve
Sipping: Knob Creek
Scotch: Bring your own
Irish: I like them all!

Mine comes in clear form.... Dirty Vodka martini !!!
Dripping Springs Vodka distilled in Texas in small 50 gallon batches. It is the best Vodka I have tasted. (imo)
Thank God I have a boating friend that we know that spends his winters in Corpus Christie and drives back the end of May. They don't sell it here.

We had an interesting discussion over the best tasting vodka.. It was a poker game at the house with 8 guys...friends and a couple strangers. In the bar I had Ketel one, smirnoff, grey goose, Costco red bottle, Absolut and some weird thing my college aged kids had in there ... It was a blind taste test ... All 8 guys picked Costco brand. Every vodka had a unique taste and harshness which was interesting...
Now this wasn't scientific or planned but I think a pretty interesting response with the limited samples available.

Usual mixed drink:Tanqueray and Tonic
Martini: Bombay
Sipping: Jack Daniels Single Barrel
Wine: Red
Beer: Not a huge fan generally. If I do enjoy one it is usually on an extremely hot day, has to be ice cold, and preferably bottled.

Costco's French vodka is made by Grey Goose and I'll drink it all day long...

Wow, we did that very thing, however before the Costco vodka was available. Grey Goose was the winner, followed closely by Svedka. Chopin, Belvedere, Absolute, Stoli, were all voted down by almost all. The surprise was Smirnoff was behind the top two but ahead of the lower four. We has 8 ballots as well.

May need to do an update, though not sure my head will take it.

Tried Costco Gin? It is very good. I also like Hendricks when it is priced right.

If you can find it - Town Branch Bourbon.

I flew for the company that makes it, but it is great.

For beer they make Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale - something like 9pc ale, with heavy bourbon flavor.

Well, I don't drink any hardened spirits at all, if thats the proper terminology, and generally don't drink wine either, though I do keep some of that on hand .

But I love beer. Generally there is Heineken Light, Labatt, Moosehead and Shiner Bock in some combination in the fridge. And it might be in my head, but it tastes better out of a bottle or a glass.

In the summertime I also enjoy Moosehead Radler (beer and juice). I dont particularly like it as a 'just having a beer' beer, but when its hot and you're hot from working, it is phenomenal. I can't wait to try some this summer while anchored out on a hot day
