Brian, thank you for the insights. I was hoping to find one used but if not we will purchase a new one by spring.Your vote of confidence that it’s worth the money is helpful.Gary, I just bought one this season. Very hard to find used. I debated installing the Charles Auto Boost Transformer as it gives you a constant 230V all the time instead of just the 10% boost that the Ward’s does but that became moot as Charles left the marine business earlier this year and I couldn’t locate the Charles unit I was looking for. The Ward unit is definitely worth the $2k they cost.

Hi Mark
Brian, thank you. We have a picture of a ward boost box with all the particulars that someone had on a 58 like yours. After speaking with them about the merits of it we decided it should be on our “upgrade” list. Although it’s expensive the first appliance it saves due to poor voltage at a marina makes it worth while. Thank you for thinking of usGary, I guess I should’ve said it’s difficult to find these used in good condition. That one looks like it was used and abused. It’s also not the same configuration as mine so I’m not even sure how old it is. If you want I can text you a picture of mine. I think I still have your cell (or Gina’s). Let me know.
Hi Mark
Thank you. I saw that one on eBay. It does not appear to be in good shape. Thanks for thinking of me
