While pulling up the anchor today after an awesome 3 day trip the jaw/jaw swivel broke and dropped the anchor to the bottom of the ocean. Looks like a common problem from what I have read on some posts. I am happier it snapped when it did rather than during the night on anchor somewhere. I am looking for a replacement anchor that will fit our 06 340 Anchor pulpit ect.. I am going to call kodiak tomorrow which I believe is what was on there. The manual says #25 sea ray part #173352. I never once had a problen with the original anchor dragging if that is what it was. If anyone has replaced there anchor on a 340 please let me know what will fit. It appears some anchors will not fit. I am also thinking of eliminating the swivel and using 1/2 and a 5/8 shackle as one member recommended. It appears the swivel is definetly a weak point in this set up, evidence was today.

Stick with the Kodiak. Been there, some anchors don't deploy out of that chute.

Mantus and ultra make a very reputable swivel. Personally I would use a shackle if I could avoid the swivel but my anchor comes up backward unless I have a swivel.

My double jaw swivel snapped recently too......losing the anchor. I guess it was 12 years old though. I went the Mantus swivel (based on NotHerDecision's recommendation in my thread) which looks nice and beefy. And went for a Rocna over the original Delta which has a very similar shank profile to the Delta anchor, fitting in the chute nicely.

great info thanks guys!!
I guess 12 years is the failure rate, same here. I Ordered a Kodiak today from SouthCoast Marine, Florida original supplier for Sea Ray Kodiak anchor. I am going to try 2 shackles and if not will try the Mantus Swivel. Did you get the G2 Mantus?

Installed a new Kodiak #25 and a Mantus S1 Swivel. The Mantus is definetly quality and Abby at South Coast Marine was great in getting me the Kodiak anchor. Back in business, thanks to everyone. I will post a pict of the bolt that snapped on the OEM swivel for others to check. This is Def a weak point and wish I would of checked this prior to losing an anchor.
