My 2003 340 DA has a 12v disconnect problem. When I use the carlingswitch in the galley to shut down the starboard power, I must re-energize the starboard disconnect carlingswitch in the engine bay to get power back on the starboard side. The port side does not have this issue. As long as I don't use the switches in the galley, everything works as it should. I'm the 4th owner, any ideas ?

Those two switches that operate the disconnect are identical. The switches simply change electrical polarity to the disconnect (latching relay) to open or close the disconnect. So, if you can open the disconnect from the switch but cannot close then it's most likely a problem with the switch. This is a typical arrangement showing one of the two switches.

I will change the switch and reply with results. Thank you.
I suggest simply swapping the connector for the switch with the other banks switch which is behind the panel. Simple test.... if the problem follows the switch there you have it.

The Carlingswitches were not the problem. The malfunction was the 100 amp Main Battery solenoid disconnect. Changed it and problem solved. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
